Ring in the End of Summer with a Visit to a Local Brewery

Sip on something summery outside while it’s peak patio season in Irvine

‘Tis the season for outdoor patios in Irvine! Along with peaceful walks around our gorgeous neighborhood, patios are one of the biggest joys of this summer since it’s a great way to socially distance, support a local business and enjoy the great outdoors.

While there are so many fun patios to choose from, we especially love craft breweries every now and then to savor some ice-cold beer in a laid back environment. We’re lucky that Orange County is home to so many great ones! It was hard to narrow down the list, but we’ve compiled some of our favorites. Grab your pals and get a visit in while it’s still summer!

Hangar 24 Orange County

5 minutes away from our community

With its close proximity to our community and extra outdoor seating this summer, Hangar 24 is one of our favorite local breweries. This independently-owned brewing company draws inspiration from aviation and the “freedom that comes with flight.” While the brewery began in Redlands, CA, they’ve since added two more locations in Orange County and Arizona.

From porters to IPAs, they have a large selection of craft beers. One of their current (and most summery) options is the Pacific Coast Hazy IPA, modeled after the misty vistas, salty air and long curves along rocky shores of the Pacific Coast Highway. Just like riding down the highway, this beer is smooth to drink and full of flavor. Head to their huge patio to hang out and grab one soon!

Bootlegger’s Brewery

11 minutes away from our community

Bootlegger’s knows the beer game well — they’ve been in business since 2006! Their motto “Drink Fresh, Drink Local” propelled them to expand on their first tasting room in Fullerton and open two more locations in Redlands and Costa Mesa.

They’re big on community and want all guests to feel like part of their family when they walk in for a beer tasting; they're ready to “welcome you with open arms and a cold one.” You can even take a private tour of their production facility if you reserve it ahead of time!
