It’s a new year! And we all know what that means… new year resolutions. Whether it be healthy eating, working out more or saving money, it’s that time where we start setting physical and mental goals for ourselves to carry into the new year. If working out more is on your list of new year resolutions, but you aren’t a fan of the traditional gym scene, we’re here to help! There’s plenty of ways to break a good sweat and get an awesome workout without spending hours on a treadmill, and here are a few of our favorite ways to do so.

SoulCycle

SoulCycle has magically taken the fitness world by storm in the last few years, and we can see why. What used to be the dreaded cardio machine at the gym, now is coined as more than just a workout, but an “experience” by riders. For those who’ve never heard of SoulCycle before now, it is an indoor cycling class that happens in a dimly lit studio where unique music playlists inspire the entire ride. Imagine it: loud music, a motivational instructor, and other cyclists biking right alongside you. By the time it’s over, you’ll feel like you just left an energetic party, not the gym! And you’ll be totally satisfied by the soreness of your full-body workout.

Pure Barre

Pure Barre takes a different approach to getting that post-workout satisfaction. Rather than rapidly cycling to loud music, barre classes focus on low-impact, high-intensity movements resulting in a full-body workout that improves strength and flexibility. With over 500 studios nationwide, Pure Barre features group classes where trainers lead you in small movements and innovative techniques that will have you feeling the burn long after the class has ended. And if you’re wondering if you actually use a bar during the workout, yes, yes you do. Try one class and your fitness tracker watch and workout apps will be just as impressed as you are.

Sender One Rock Climbing

It’s 2020, and we’re way past mainstream workouts, right? This is the year we are trying new things and bettering ourselves while we’re at it! And having fun, too! If you agreed with all of that, then Sender One Rock Climbing might be on the list of places you’ll want to check out in the new year. Fitness isn’t a one-size-fits-all thing. Fitness is whatever makes you feel good, gets the body moving and releases those healthy endorphins! And a great way to achieve all of that is by challenging yourself to scale a 50-foot rock wall at Sender One Climbing. Right now is also a great time to explore this new hobby, because for the month of January Sender One is offering new members a $1 initiation! Climb your way to a newer, healthier you in 2020.
