The season-long anticipation has led to this… the championship game is just days away! Even if you’re not a huge football fan, the Big Game is a great excuse to meet up with friends, eat some food, drink some cold beverages and watch some intense football and funny commercials. Even if you are only watching for the absurd advertisements (did you know the average 30 second Super Bowl commercial ad spot cost around $5 million in 2019?) or the half time performance, the entertainment of it all is worth watching a few minutes of. So if you’re looking to join the other football fans in watching this year’s game, here are a few Irvine area sports bars that will have the game playing, sound on, food and drink specials, and a fun atmosphere for the game.

Bar Louie

Just a short 10-minute drive from Main Street Village, Bar Louie is a local bar dedicated to the sports fans and food and drink enthusiasts of Irvine. On Sunday, February 2nd, Bar Louie will have ½ priced bottles of wine, a variety of $5 burgers, $5 Jameson shots, and their infamous nachos. There are 8 flat-screen TVs located in the center of the bar, making the big game literally the center of attention. Touchdown deals, cheering fans, and football energy will be dancing throughout the bar; along with the sounds of the game, of course. We recommend getting to Bar Louie prior to kickoff, as space can fill up fast, and you’ll want a good seat for those big plays and a close-up view of Jennifer Lopez and Shakira’s half time performance.

Classic Q Billiards and Sports Club

Classic Q Billiards and Sports Club will give you a run for your money on game day, and they aren’t even going to charge you to get in! Along with the excitement of the game playing on their 50+ TVs, there will be drink specials, raffles, a promo crew handing out free swag, and of course, patio seating. The game will be playing both indoors and on the outdoor patio, and the raffles are rumored to include things like jerseys, posters, gift bags and more! Be sure to visit the Classic Q Billiards and Sports Club for an afternoon as eventful as the big game itself, and check out this photo from last year’s Big Game for a peek into what this year will look like!

Garf’s Sports Lounge

Food specials, pool, shuffleboard, darts, and even a photo booth will keep you entertained at Garf’s Sports Lounge! While the game plays on various screens throughout the lounge, you can kick back with a drink, play some games of your own, and cheer on your favorite team alongside other football fans. Known for having large TVs and a friendly staff, Garf’s is a perfect place to watch the game unfold!
