Food is the way to my heart

So, now that the manly “holiday” is behind us, it’s time to think romantically. It’s time to think about Valentine’s Day. If you are a good cook, this is a piece of cake. Just invite your loved one over to your Main Street Village luxury apartment in Irvine for a romantic candlelight dinner and a bottle of champagne or wine and your set. If you are like me and are challenged in the kitchen, then perhaps finding a fine dining restaurant is a better idea.

Less than two miles away is Bistango, a new American cuisine restaurant in the Atrium Building. Ambiance is important to them and they feature revolving modern art exhibits and live music nightly. With over 400 varieties of wine, you are sure to find something you like with your steak, duck, lobster or other entrée. After dinner, stay and enjoy the band and dance with your sweetie. What is more romantic than dinner and dancing?

Even closer to home, just across the street is Andrei’s Conscious Cuisine & Cocktails. They have a Valentine’s Day three course dinner and wine and cocktail pairing options. This dinner even includes muffins for breakfast the next day. Main course choices are lamb, lobster tail, filet mignon, duck, scallops and vegetarian polenta. Cocktails are made with natural fruits, herbs and house-made mixes.

Remember, reservations for Valentine’s Day need to be made early, tables book fast. If you can’t find a reservation, hopefully your significant other knows his/her way around your kitchen at Main Street Village if you don’t.

Anteaters and Pho

When I moved to Orange County at the start of the spring semester to take a research job at the University of California, Irvine, I immediately went in search of a luxury apartment for rent in Irvine that was environmentally sustainable AND near my creature comfort, pho.

To my immense pleasure, I found both in Main Street Village, a luxury apartment community that is LEED-NCv2.2 (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design for New Construction) certified. Living in luxury doesn’t mean I have to be a conspicuous consumer, right? I particularly love the community garden and the LEV/FEV parking for my incredibly fuel-efficient Prius hybrid.

Main Street Village is only 3 miles from my campus office, and it’s located near my bank, the John Wayne Airport and the 5, 405 and 55 freeways.

But I might be more excited about the oddly-situated BB Pho Jamboree, which is tucked into a food court a mile and a half from the thoughtful luxury of Main Street Village. Their bahn mi is excellent, but their pho is incredible – and their BBQ pork bowl made me feel like I was back home on the gulf coast. (Pro-tip: you can place your order online and pick it up on your way home.)

I work long hours, but feel grateful for the amenities that make Main Street Village feel like home – and let’s be honest, the proximity to the perfect bowl of pho. Looking for a luxury apartment to rent in Irvine? Look no further than Main Street Village.

The Big Day

Well, it’s Christmas Day. Hope Santa brought you what you wanted. I’m sure by now plans are already made for New Year’s Eve, but have you thought about your resolutions? I bet they include penciling in some work out time at your Main Street Village luxury apartment in Irvine 24-hour fitness center.

Maybe finding a new outfit to workout in will give you that inspiration. Just across the 405 is Sport Chalet. They are currently having a 70% off sale from brands such as Nike and Under Armour.

After a workout, you will need healthy food. Only a block away is Andrei’s Conscious Cuisine & Cocktails. According to this restaurant, conscious cuisine is the use of freshest local and organically grown seasonal produce, naturally raised meats and sustainable seafood. Lots of salads to choose from and plates lean toward the Mediterranean style. Andrei’s, like Main Street Village, also cares about the environment by recycling oil, reducing paper and energy usage and biodegradable chemicals are used. Food isn’t the only thing this restaurant is passionate about. They donate profits to a local charity which has built a school library in Sri Lanka, a rain-collected clean water system in Nicaragua and surgeries for over 20 Russian orphans.

Good luck keeping those resolutions and remember to have fun exercising at Main Street Village.

When I think of a luxury apartment, I think of a beautiful one bedroom that I can live day to day in with fantastic amenities and that is in an amazing community. That’s what I get here at Main Street Village. Their luxury apartments for rent in Irvine, California are absolutely outstanding and draw the envy of competitors near and far.

The unit that I am leasing is the ‘Stanislaus’. It is a one-bedroom unit that despite its looks is very spacious and comfortable. When I first saw it, I knew it was the unit for me, especially after I was told that I could choose from three different interior finishes for the apartment. The ‘Stanislaus features a beautiful bedroom that has a patio or balcony (depending on the level you stay on) attached. As well as a spacious living room that is perfect for hosting guests or holding a small event with friends.

On top of that, if you consider yourself a bit of a chef (like myself), you’ll love the kitchen of the ‘Stanislaus’. It comes equipped with luxurious granite counters and is the perfect size for preparing large meals. The bathroom is just as spectacular with framed mirrors, a large roman bathtub, and beautiful stone flooring.

The ‘Stanislaus’ is the absolute perfect unit for someone looking for a stylish and sophisticated luxury one bedroom apartment in a marvelous community. Main Street Village did an amazing job with this unit, and I’m sure the other luxury apartments for rent are the best that Irvine, California has to offer. Schedule a tour and see if you can score a ‘Stanislaus’ unit.
